Previously, BMW Club Europa e.V. (BCE) was the sole umbrella organisation for all European BMW Clubs.
On 19th September 2007 the UK, Irish and Scandinavian BMW clubs, both Car and Motorcycle, left BCE and formed a new umbrella organisation (FEBC) that better caters for the needs of the clubs in those countries.
The official start date for this new organisation was 1st January 2008
It is now officially recognised by BMW and is a member of the International Council of BMW Clubs.
