Lets go to France

The obvious port of call for most first time biking trips abroad is of course France. Being the closest of all our European neighbours, it is also the largest European country so has much to offer.

For the history buff the Normandy beaches in the north could keep you occupied for weeks, and for the more laid back, the south offers milder weather and some great motorcycling routes around the Pyrenees. Everywhere in-between offers good food, and relativity inexpensive traveling, whether camping or staying in the numerous B&B’s.

The main towns and tourist areas also offer great value hotel accommodation. There are many hotel chains, which offer spotless room for very little expense and these make a great overnight stops when planning a trip on which you are constantly on the move.
